A gorgeous old tall ship armorial wax seal necklace charm…
be the captain of your own ship!
Hand cast, in fine silver, from one of a kind armorial wax seal that dates back to the late 1700′s! The seal engraving shows, within a shield, an old ship under full sail beneath three stars. The shield is surrounded with ornamentation with a banner at the top containing 4 letters GBLN… presumably the owners initials? This seal was created solely for him! Truly a one of a kind! In heraldry, a ship often symbolizes an ancient sea voyage or some notable expedition by sea by which the first bearer became famous! It could also symbolize adventure and travel. The stars symbolize hope, truth and spirit. The eagle, with wings displayed, symbolizes a person of noble nature, strength, bravery and alertness.
Sail through life’s little storms!
The charm measures between 5/8″ and 3/4″ and has been antiqued to show the remarkable detail of the wax seal.
The charm is shown here on a sterling silver cable necklace chain.
