It poured a monsoon yesterday, flooding streets and yards, but it was the only day I could visit Brimfield for my favorite antique festival! Dressed in boots and raincoats and armed with umbrellas and plastic bags, we drove 2 hours to find that Brimfield had received more rain than we had and rivers had overflowed their banks into the festival fields. Sadly, many antique dealers lost some of their inventories and the antiquing crowd was thin, but the festival went on! Don and I still had a great time and returned with thin wallets and lovely treasures!
I’m always looking for those very hard to find antique glass lockets! Walking for miles and searching through more cases than I could ever count, I found two! One dealer had this beautiful brass locket and another this silver tone locket… it was truly my lucky day! They each measure approximately 1 1/8″ and are threaded onto 18″ chains. I’ve already tucked the tiniest seaglass pieces inside! If they don’t sell beforehand, I’ll bring them to the Sea Glass Festival in Long Branch, NJ on Columbus Day Weekend. I’ve been wanting an antique wire dress form for quite some time and I found a beauty in sea foam! My new friend!
